How many driving lessons will I need before my test?
The DVSA suggests an average of around 45 hours of professional training plus 22 hours of private practice, though this varies a lot by student. Your instructor will give you an honest estimate after your first couple of lessons.
What's included in an intensive driving course?
Our intensive courses include daily training blocks, a personalised syllabus covering manoeuvres and test routes, mock test assessments, and guidance on booking your practical test. The Ultra-Intensive package also includes your test fee day itself.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off?
Yes, we collect and drop off from home, work or college addresses anywhere across Leicester, Wigston, Oadby, Braunstone, Beaumont Leys and the surrounding areas.
How old do I need to be to start lessons?
You can start learning to drive a car from age 17 (or 16 if you receive the higher rate mobility component of PIP). You'll need a valid provisional driving licence before your first lesson.
Where will my practical driving test take place?
Most of our Leicester-based students test at either the Leicester (Cannock Street) or Leicester (Wigston) driving test centres. Your instructor will confirm test routes and give you mock-test practice on real DVSA routes in the weeks before your test. Always double-check your exact test centre and time on your official DVSA confirmation.
Do you have any tips for test day?
Ask your instructor for at least one mock test on your test centre's official routes before booking, and arrive at least 10 minutes early with your provisional licence and theory test pass certificate details. It's also worth double-checking your exact test date, time and centre details against your official DVSA booking confirmation before you set off.
Can I pause or cancel a block booking?
Absolutely. Block bookings are flexible: lessons can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice, and any unused hours carry forward with no expiry within the same course type.
Do you offer Pass Plus or motorway lessons?
Yes, once you've passed your test we offer Pass Plus courses and dedicated motorway confidence lessons with your instructor.
